GOOD: D/J chipped some small loss. Bottom edges of pages have purple ink not extending to page faces. Small tea stain (3cmx1cm) not affecting text. Inscription to front endpaper, otherwise clean and unmarked.

The story of the Swordfish biplane, the 'Stringbag' of the title, in WWII. Regarded by many as obsolete before the war began the plane was flown by Royal Navy pilots in many daring combats. This book chronicles the firsthand experience of Commander Charles Lamb who flew many of ther missions for which this aircraft is famous.
