GOOD no d/j.Red boards, slight bumping to top corners, some rubbing to edges, gilt motif on cover and lettering on spine bright. Interior clean but bearing stamp on title page: 'Jane Crockford Props & Costumes' with a London EC2 address, otherwise no marks, annotations or foxing. Small crease at foot of page bearing plates 74/75, not affecting plates themselves. last 2 pages of index working loose but still attached.
A 1968 reprint of the 1957 1st ed covering the dress of the British army from Henry VIII to the present. The book briefly covers the history in the text but primarily to give context to the changes in dress and uniform.
