First published in 1945 this is a Book Club edition ofthe story of one of the elite glider pilot regiment who escaped from the hell of Arnhem. It is all the more incredible because Hagen was a German-Jewish banker's son who had been imprisoned in a concentration camp and escaped to England where on the outbreak of war he had been imprisoned as an 'enemy alien'. An amazing tale.
